For over 35 years, Window Trendz has been helping Kiwis transform their homes with custom-made curtains, blinds, and shutters. Proudly family-owned and based in Palmerston North, we bring style, comfort, and craftsmanship to windows across the Lower North Island.
Our Story
At Window Trendz, we’ve always had one simple goal - to make homes feel more you. Stylish, comfortable, and personal in all the right ways.
It all started back in 1990 when my grandparents, Barbara and Allan Bennett, set up a small curtain consultancy from their cosy spot on Princess Street here in Palmerston North. With a whole lot of heart, a sharp eye for fabric, and an unshakable work ethic, they quickly built a loyal following. By 2002, they’d outgrown their little nest and moved into a bigger showroom on Waldegrave Street.
Fast forward to today, and you’ll find us on the corner of Victoria Avenue and Main Street - the proud home of the largest curtain fabric library in the Manawatū.
I’m lucky enough to carry on what they started. While the business has grown a lot over the years, we’ve held tight to what matters most - that personal touch. Many of our customers have been with us for decades, and it’s not unusual for someone to walk in and be greeted by name, even if it’s been years since their last visit.
For me, Window Trendz has never just been about curtains and blinds. It’s about creating spaces that feel right, spaces that make you smile when you walk in the door. And we do it with the same care, craftsmanship, and bit of cheek that’s always been part of who we are.
After 35 years, we’re proud of how far we’ve come — but trust me, we’re only just getting started.
