Window Trendz started with one goal: to make homes feel more you – stylish, comfortable, and uniquely personal.

It all began in 1990 when Barbara and Allan Bennett launched a small curtain consultancy from their cosy spot on Princess Street in Palmerston North. Armed with heart, hustle, and a passion for great fabrics, they quickly grew a loyal following. By 2002, they’d outgrown their little nest and moved into a bigger showroom on Waldegrave Street.

Today, you’ll find us at our landmark location on the corner of Victoria Avenue and Main Street – the proud home of the largest curtain fabric library in the Manawatū.

Still family-owned and operated, Window Trendz is now led by their grandson Finn, who’s weaving the next chapter with a bold vision, a creative outlook, and just the right amount of cheek. It’s not just a business. It’s a family story stitched with care – and we’re only getting started.

Our History

    1990 - The beginning

    In 1990, Allan and Barbara Bennett, new locals to Palmerston North, established the business known as Window Trendz. The business was first located out of a small retail premises on Princess St.

    2002 - The move

    After agreeing to engage in a number of medium-scale commercial projects, the Princess St premises was quickly outgrown and the search began for a larger premises. In 2002, the Waldegrave St site was purchased.

    2002 - 2020

    Throughout 2000-2020 the business was located in Waldegrave Street, and through our showroom we supplied, and installed curtains to many of the regions leading homes and businesses.

    2020 - Present

    Following a considerable amount of business growth from 2017-2020, in late 2020, the decision was made to re-locate to a large retail premises, centrally located on the Corner of Victoria Ave & Main St, Palmerston North.
